Overview

The Glassroom installation was carried out for a residential property located in Cambridgeshire. The homeowner desired a functional outdoor space that could be used throughout the year, regardless of the weather conditions. The installation aimed to create a comfortable environment that would protect against wind, rain, and UV radiation while maintaining a connection to the surrounding outdoor landscape.

The Process

A survey was conducted in March 2023 to assess their requirements and discuss their preferences regarding aesthetic and functionality. Our experienced surveyor took accurate measurements of the glassroom, considering the dimensions of 4000mm width x 3750mm projection. Also, our customer is pleased with the choice of the RAL 7016 Anthracite grey frame colour, which complements the overall aesthetics of the property. For the easy operation, the easy glide sliding wall W17 is included, offering an effortless opening, and closing experience, and always allowing quick adjustment to ventilation and full transparency for an unobstructed view from the patio.

In accordance with the customer’s request, a Weinor Sottezza awning was integrated as an under-glass awning to add a shading option when the sun’s rays are glaring in, additionally adding UV protection and cooling. The decorative awning is paired with the same frame colour, anthracite grey, and electric operation providing convenient control over shading and sunlight exposure. In the summertime, you are able to reduce the development of heat under the glass and provide for feel good environment while the warming solar rays are used to heat up patio area. 

The result

The installation was booked in May, which is in the timeframe of 8-10 weeks lead time as planned. By combining the versatility of the Terrazza Glassroom with the shading capabilities of the Sottezza Optistretch awning, our customer can now enjoy the outdoors in comfort, while maintaining control over natural light and shade. The integration of these two premium Weinor products enhances the usability, value, and overall enjoyment of the outdoor space.
